13 years and counting

On May 18th, Gary and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. We decided to drive up to Yosemite for the day to celebrate. The weather was very nice during majority of the day. Around 4pm, the clouds opened up and down poured. It was actually quite amazing. There was also thunder and lighting. I just wish I could have captured the lighting on film, but my camera isn’t that good for action shoots.

Worse furry mommy of the world goes to….

Me. Neo’s fur was starting to get a little out of control. So, I figured it was time for another grooming. Instead of transporting him to the groomer, I decided to go with a mobile service that comes to our house. So, on May 25th, he had his appointment. First, the groomer was about 2 hours late. Apparently, she got lost. Once she did arrive, I told her that I wanted her to shave Neo’s butt and stomach.

This is what he looked like before:

This is him after:

Gary was PISSED. So, instead of a long haired cat, he’s short hair now. Neo was so upset and miserable. The positive is that it is summer, so hopefully having shorter hair will help keep him cool. His fur is starting to come back slowly. I’ve actually gotten used to seeing him like this now. In fact, he has a little bit more energy too.

So, I’ve learned my lesson in the terms that I use. Because Neo’s going to have to go to a groomer again, we’re just going to have to go back to the first guy even though it’s an all day event.

Malina’s Junior Prom

Malina had her Jr Prom on May 16th. She ended up asking one of my volleyball players since she goes to an all girls school.  It was a huge benefit to be coaching boy’s volleyball because she knew all of the players so it was just a matter of which one she was going to ask.  Of course there was some requirements, he had to be tall enough so she could wear heals.  Not a problem, I have 3 guys that’s at least 6′.  She ended up asking Steven Miller.  He’s a great guy, plus he’s friendly and very smart.

They ended up meeting at my house to take pictures.  I asked my girlfriend’s husband Ray to take professional photos in my backyard.  I think they came out great.  Here is some of the collection of pictures.  They are great scrapbooking material.  I can’t wait to do something with them.
